The sun is shining and it's almost warm........okay I am wishing it were warmer but it really is sunny!  As we hoped Wally made a surprise visit to the shop today.  He helped his furless Dad with the AccuCut machine and gave several of our hoppers some kitty kisses!  There is so much to do to prepare for a shop hop and even as organized as you think you are, there are still so many things to do during the hop.  We have been blessed with a great helper over the last few days, Brandon Z has been helping in any area that he can.  From making survival kits, putting together pattern packets, cleaning, sweeping and bringing Caliber down when he is requested, he has done it all.  Great job Brandon and many thanks!

Amazing!  Even with the cold weather our hoppers are coming in!  Thursday night we were hit with one of those storms you wish would pass you on by!  Some parts of Nebraska received up to 11 inches of snow!  Fortunately for us, it was mostly rain with cold blowing wind!  Regardless it has been another busy day.  Our survival kits are going over well and everyone loves meeting Caliber!  Maybe Wally will make a surprise visit too!  Check out more cute shop pictures!

Busy day here with all of our visitors.  I have been amazed how far some of our visitors have traveled from.  The best part of this hop is meeting some great people and some of our online shoppers!  Two big items have been very popular for the Shop Hop, our exclusive Shop Hop project, Celebration Stars.  This is an AccuCut project which means all the parts are cut for you!  The colors are fantastic blue, green, pink, lavender, orange, gold and features our Shop Hop Batik fabric by Hoffman!  We are also extremely proud of our new Cat's Meow House!  I have been a collector of these adorable houses for 20 years.  If you are not familiar with these collectors items visit, http://www.catsmeow.com.   We had one done of our shop and it is adorable, even if I say so myself!   Okay, time to get back to the hoppers!

Woo Hoo!  The Nebraska Shop Hop Starts today and we are very excited about all the new products, models, kits and gifts we have to share!  We have been cleaning, stocking and sewing for weeks to have everything in order for our hoppers.  We are really excited about the Motif book from Jeri Kelly.  We made all 12 models for the Shop Hop.  We also made our Shop Hop block into a cute banner project to use for celebrations.  We have survival kits for all of our visitors and plenty of Kitty Kisses!  If you town, stop by!!      

 Friday was a terrific day in the shop at The Quilted Kitty!  I was busy working around the shop and thinking about the class I was going to take the next day!  I signed up for a class with Mark Lapinski, the editor, owner, quilting stud extraordinaire of the Quilter's Home magazine fame, when all of a sudden who walks in, Mark Lapinski!!!  I was so excited I forgot about my poor customer for a minute and just stood there with my mouth hanging open!   I had emailed him to let him know I was going to take his class and asked if you would like to visit my shop after class!  I never expected him to come in the day before!   What a terrific time we had and what a wonderful guy he is.  His energy alone can keep you motivated for hours at a time!  We laughed, talked, hugged and laughed some more.  If you ever have an opportunity to take one of his classes, don't miss out, you will never forget the experience!   Check out pictures of the class on our Quilted Kitty Quilt Show section of the web site!

Well we are getting ready for the Nebraska Shop Hop!  This is going to be our first time participating and I am hoping I have enough planned!  We have kits, kitty rolls, charm packs, new patterns, books and fabric, fabric, fabric!  I have treats for visitors, prizes for our balloon pop and more. The new fabric lines that are coming in are beautiful!  Kansas Troubles, Paddington Bear, Simplicity by 3 Sisters, Beatrix Potter, Natural Garden by Holly Taylor, Fanciful Felines and more!  It's like Christmas everyday around here.  Be sure to watch for our newsletter to keep up on all the fun!
